Veteran Service
 

Representative for Veterans of Winkler County in helping them deal with veterans administration questions and forms plus serve as a resource for veterans issues.

HAVE VARIOUS VA FORMS AND VETERAN RELATED INFORMATION FROM TEXAS LAND BOARD AND TEXAS VETERANS COMMISSION.

Veteran Services not only provides for those veterans of wars but also of different special groups, selected reserve and national guard and Filipino veterans. Eligibility depends upon individual circumstances. Currently we provide assisted service to veterans for the Winkler County. Benefits include but are not limited to: compensation and pension benefits, health care benefits, burial and memorial benefits and home loan guarantees and other information.

   

Veterans
 

Honorable and general discharges qualify a veteran for most VA benefits. VA benefits will not be provided to any veteran of dependent wanted for an outstanding felony warrant. some benefits also require wartime service.

For Veterans who served in Mexico, on its borders or in adjacent waters.

April 6, 1917 - Nov 11, 1918
For veterans who served in Russia, April 6, 1917 - April 1, 1920; extended through July 1, 1921, for veterans who had at least one day of service between April 6,1917 and Nov. 11 1918
  World War II
Dec. 7 1941 - Dec. 31 1946
 
  Korean War
June 26, 1950 - Jan. 31, 1955
 
  Vietnam War
Aug. 5, 1964 - May 7, 1975
Feb. 28 1961, for veterans who served "in country" before Aug. 5, 1964
  Gulf War
